Well, I get that you don’t want to blame the parents for the kids’ harassing people for clout, but they still have ownership for not using a parent control app and/or limiting the kid’s or kids’ time on the internet. It’s the parents’ responsibility to monitor their kids’ online activities and make sure they have balance in their activities. Just like having a balanced diet. And like you said, protect them from online predators. If necessary enroll them in a class that doesn’t just teach about computers, but online safety, too. It can’t hurt for good measure before they get a device at all, which the kid should have to work for by saving his or her allowance, you know, as opposed to just buying them one as if you’re made of money, even if you are as rich as Jack Doherty’s parents.
