I see it all now. There weren't any rules, and that's why their parents didn't reprimand them. But many users had a point, commending them was still going much too far. It may have been more appropriate to say, "Well, you do know that it was okay this one time, because there weren't any rules, we knew there weren't, and we agreed to let you do this, right? But starting after this, it's back to reality and responsibility, just to let you know." At least that wouldn't have been over all encouraging such destructiveness. I get it now, that's everyone's real problem with the parents' reaction.
Still, those saying what they would have done to punish them, be them on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, or wherever, what you really mean is that you never would have agreed to this in the first place, because the fact still remains that there were no rules.
