  1. Know what is much cheaper than solar panels? Pedals. I have seen a velomobile with a 250w pedal assist motor have 400 kilometers (or 250 miles) of range out of an 36v 15ah battery that weighs less than 10 pounds. It isn't the prettiest thing to look at but you can't beat that kind of efficiency with anything else.
