  1. The problem of bikes has always been the same, sharing infrastructure with cars. Netherlands had a particularly massive problem back in the day with 500 children in a year dying to traffic before doing something about it. I hope the UK won't dismiss cycling because bikes, e-bikes and other lighter EVs are easily the most environmentally friendly and pedestrian safe forms of transportation out there. E-bikes and light EVs, while artificially limited to 20kph, are getting more and more capable by the day, so I don't think sharing bike lanes with pedestrians is a good idea too. Ps.: if you think these cycling karens are bad, at least they aren't driving SUVs.
