  2. They are trying to fix it with small turboprops, however everyone keeps telling them that the a-10 is the best aircraft ever build and that it should stay in service forever.

  4. My guess is speed. The F-35 is so "slow" that it could realistically be intercepted by a top of the line sukhoi from behind, where its radar signature isn’t optimized. That said, while the f22 is fast, I heard DARPA is financing a new type of engine with ramjet capabilities that will be faster than anything except the black bird.
