  1. Frankly? I think attack helicopters as we know it are done for. Drones and tiltrotors will simply do what the current helicopter does with added capability.

  2. ​​​​​​​ @ryanj610  USAF agrees with you since they want manned/unmanned teams for their 6th gen fighter. I suspect we will see a similar development with attack helicopters. MUMT is already a percursor to that.

  4. ​​​​ @Nero-Caesar  attack helicopters are about to become very hard to justify over scout helicopters + loitering munitions, though. Unless that 30mm is absolutely essential, there is not much of a point. Drone wars have everything to become battles of speed and economics, whoever can deploy the largest amount of assets in the shortest amount to time will win. Imagine hundreds of glider bombs with their own collective neural network looking for targets and analyzing their own attack patterns to improve their rate of success. That's what a real Skynet would look like.
