I think these makes a lot of sense when compared to hydrogen. For example, you don’t need cryogenic transport, specific pipe materials or reinforced tanks for transport. Also, there is nothing stopping them of using an actual battery for daily commute, with that thing actually working as a range extender.

@markharmon4963 thing is, solar and wind are also the most inconsistent forms of energy. Like you said, storage is a necessity however how much storage is also tricky. That said, no one said we need actual batteries to do the job. Certainly not the same ones that go in EVs.

Seems a winner for semi-trucks. Hydrogen is a pain in the ass as a fuel and battery is heavy and takes too long to charge. Plus your fuel is literal water, try making that catch fire.

It makes a lot of sense to replace hydrogen. As long fuel is cheap.
