Hamjam117 considering the flag was 1) designed in 1861 in armed opposition to the US which they had primarily seceded over the right to maintain slavery; 2) it has been used by the KKK for more than a century; and 3) it was raised on certain state grounds in the middle of the Civil Rights movement in protest against segregation of schools it is pretty much steeped in racism
