The grandfather was beaten in jail with no protection from the police 1/3/08  Edward Lamont Hunt is shot three times in the back and killed fleeing from an officer 1/5/08 Cops illegally strip search and plant drugs on Jennelle and Shakita Causey 5/13/08 Police beat Wesley Williams and Shana Pendleton in front of their home and their kids 8/7/08 Daudi Collier face smashed by radio and punched in the eye 1/9/09 Jerriel Lyles is struck in the face with a radio and gets a fractured nose and bruised eye 3/31/09 Barbara Floyd face grounded into concrete 4/22/09 Deacon Lornell Felder beaten when he ran for what cops thought was a joint he was rolling 4/27/09 Donte Harris tased and sexually assaulted for loitering 7/26/09 Venus Green broken shoulder from being thrown to the ground after calling cops about her grandson being shot 9/18/09 Starr Brown thrown to the ground and beaten when she was pregnant 6/17/12 Bolaji Obe beaten while handcuffed These are cases where police wrong doing had been acknowledged. It begs the question how many other incidences major and minor have gone on over the years unpunished and unrecorded.

  3. Tl2aV no what it is was the same as in Ferguson and the rest of the country. The judicial system in this country is set up to need crime to fund police officers, judges, attorneys, private prisons, bail bondsmen, correction officers, etc... Poorer neighborhoods have long been hit by this and all it takes is a proverbial straw to break their backs.
