  2.  @puckerings  RoP was as far from Tolkien than you could get. Characters, dialogue, lore was all wrong. It was like they took someone's subpar fantasy story and stuck on Tolkien since it wouldn't see otherwise.

  4. I might be kind of that group. I gave up with Episode 5 with the stupid mithril backstory, skipped 6 and 7 except for review bits on Youtube, and watched 8 to see how bad it would end (wasn't disappointed on that part). I was part of a watch party making fun of it so I wonder how many of that 32% were only watching it to mock it? That could easily put fan views under 20% which begs the question why season 2?

  5.  @ItsNotaTuhmah  the original is probably better because it's not crammed into Middle Earth. Then again if lines like "a dog can bark at the moon but he cannae bring it down." came from him then unlikely not.
