  1. But the dirty little secret that these film-makers refuse to acknowledge - women don't like this crap. This is why these projects fail. If their intended audience is women then they should have no problem making a profit. For example the Sex and the City film was the most profitable rom-com the year it came out. And don't get me started on the Twilight series and 50 Shades of Grey. Instead of blaming men, they should be wondering why women don't like their female-led action projects but that would be too difficult so blame men and file a loss with the IRS (which is probably the real driving force behind this).
