  2. gaslighting at its finest. No one said women were inferior in the originals and Leia was a tough character. In the sequels the hatred of male characters was palpable. Finn became a goofy sidekick. Poe became a hotheaded brash pilot who needed to be humbled by strong women. Kylo Ren became a whiny emo who got beat by Rey EVERY single time they fought. Han and Luke came off as pathetic has-beens - Han a pathetic runaway who doesn't understand his ship as well as Rey does and Luke a washed-up cowardly runaway who gets bested by an untrained scavenger. In comparison Leia was allowed to be a wise military leader who Mary Poppins herself out of death in the vacuum of space.
