The problem with the commercial is it presents an imaginary man's world where boys are raised to think violence and sexism are virtues. Toxic Masculinity and Rape Culture are terms for made up concepts. Unless I missed Man School, none of us as a whole were specifically raised to think violence was a good thing. We were taught to defend ourselves not to be bullies. Most of the fiction we read and watch growing up is about heroes fighting bully-ish villains. Also in that fiction the main characters were respectful of women. But the caricature is that we are raised by psychopathic football coach dads who encourage us to be violent and to take advantage of women any chance we get (despite the reality of most young men living in fear of the overprotective girl's father).

and the right doesn't plug their ears quoting the 2nd Amendment repeatedly ad nauseam?

@jimnickles2347 you're Exhibit A as to the problem why civil rational discussion cannot take place

@jimnickles2347 the treason? take your meds, jim, you're getting loopy again.

@davidprobst4161 TDS is just projected Obama Hate Syndrome where for 8 years rightwingers often had to make shit up to complain about Obama from birtherism to him wearing tan pants. The difference the criticism of Trump is directly related to what he has actually done or failed to do and that fact bugs you guys so much you created TDS to deflect legit criticism.

Lake Leander because it's not an argument, it's just putting your fingers in your ears as you scream a 200 year old statement that was rewritten numerous times
6
@synthmalicious7541 Is there a fucking point to your comment? 1. anybody - not just men 2. the point is boys are not being raised to think bullying, sexism, violence is a virtue.

John Campos Playing COD doesn't make you a combat vet FYI

@myriley2187 assumption
4
@omgpix the fact we are talking about the 2nd AMENDMENT which means to change should show you the error in your thinking. 2nd Amendment was rewritten numerous times and how it exists now is a compromise. The Constitution is the not laws blazed into stone by a vengeful god or irrefutable like gravity. At its inception was the idea that it could be amended to fit changing circumstances.

@davidprobst4161 nice projection

pretty hard to kill a dozen people in a few minutes with a rock

@ethantelles9549 remind them of the issue? Most men are everyday but we are tarnished by a broad brush because of bad men who didn't take lessons taught from boyhood to heart.

retraining the workers into green technology

it's refreshing from the bullshit prepared sound bites of saving the world with platitudes

@omgpix more like unimaginative uncooperative unoriginal inflexible intolerant uncompromising unadaptable

@ritapoon9938 pot calling the kettle black? So you admit you are a tinfoil hat nutter? Do you know how that expression even works?

Bernie has a chance but the problem is the DNC will rig it. There'll be voter roll purges, polls not opened, poll hours changed, caucus shenanigans, ballot counting errors, ballots being misplaced, etc... If not for the DNC and the media omitting him when they aren't smearing him, Bernie would be the clear front-runner and the choice to beat Trump. He has the most individual donors and gets people on both sides to listen. He inspires people unlike the other candidates and that's what you need to beat a fake populist like Trump.

3:15 Some German guy seeding his crystal skulls around the world in the 19th Century is just as farfetched an explanation as aliens. Was this guy going for the long con?

@dddeadlift means he's got someone else in mind

Mike Bready meanwhile conservatives just let bullets slip out of guns

@Captn_Cor they're not going to be out of jobs in flash. It will be a gradual phasing out of jobs while paying for the retraining of the employees.

@mrgsudo yawn! don't comment if you haven't read the thread.

They still have agriculture and water, dummy. There has always been climate change but the difference is in the past it was over periods of hundreds to thousands of years not decades.

Tossing live grenades in basic breaks that myth rather anti-climatically. After watching behind glass a couple simply explode into dust I focused more on sleeping. I was lucky to be part of the first of our group to throw and since there were no sergeants in the waiting area we just went to sleep yards away from grenades going off. Got some of the best sleep I ever had during basic.

What deniers don't understand stuck in their limit view of time where 30 years seems like a long time is that climate change in the past was over longer periods of time hundreds to thousands of years and more. In 12 years the planet won't go poof but what will likely happen if we do nothing is irreparable damage that we will have to live with such as more extreme weather from heatwaves to floods to heavy snowfalls to droughts. Some areas will become more unliveable due to the heat and lack of water prompting massive migrations. This will happen from your limited perspective over decades so you'll laugh and say "nothing happened!" while the bodycount mounts and ecosystems erode.

@ritapoon9938 tinfoil hat alert

I'm shocked that Alex Jones made a well-rounded argument about Flat Earth then ironically went off the deep end like there was an edge of the planet to go off of.

he doesn't want your guns. Learn to listen

try to comprehend what they actually said. Bernie nor the scientists said the world is going to end exactly in 12 years but that if we don't do anything there will be irreparable damage to the planet which we will have to cope with.

Did you see him with Chris Wallace? When he goes off script even in a structure interview the guy starts rambling and going off on tangents.
