While it is true the Republican base is easily motivated to action by fear and anger this election really revealed how fucking stupid so-called progressives are. Sure the Democrats were damn dumb in their approach in this election but the progressive were even dumber by not voting and allowing people into office or keep their office who are anti-progressive. The Republicans constantly bank on progressive apathy to win at the state and congress level. The problem is too many progressives are pseudo-intellectuals who have deluded themselves into thinking they are clever by not voting in a corrupt system. Thanks to that we not only got non-progressives elected we got nutcases who think the UN is going to force into hobbit homes and Hilary Clinton is the Anti-Christ! What kind of message does that send to the world about us? We talk about islamic fundamentalists and yet we voted actively and apathetically for people who are fundamentalists and conspiracy theorists! Progressives need to wise up and see that they are being played for fools.

In Japan, they deal with demons all the time. If Ultraman or the power rangers aren't available they just throw beans at them 節分 Japanese Exorcism - Setsubun at Taga Taisha Shrine

In a way I hope he gets elected at the same time that Satanist statue goes up in front of the capital

these liars can't even lie competently

Why doesn't he also realize the other cake issue with gay weddings - pussy pies? Why is he only fixated on male homosexuality with gay weddings and penis cakes? Are penis cakes the de rigueur of gay weddings and events? Anyway those penis cakes would go over well in Japan where they celebrate huge penises: Japanese P*nis Festival - Kanamara Matsuri 2013 かなまら祭り

The problem is the gun nuts will just tout Fast&Furious believing that F&F represents 500% of the 70% of those weapons rather than the fact that the vast majority of US guns which find their way south of the border come thru legal purchases at gun shows and gun shops, thru straw purchases, and private sales from American gun owners. This is why there is so much resistance to tracking gun purchases. Certain "legal" American gun owners don't want it known where their guns are going after they've bought them nor do some want it known where their conveniently "stolen" guns keep ending up. Also it's a matter of shifting the blame. Rather than acknowledge the fact that the many of the guns in the hands of the cartels are a result of America's over-abundance of guns and our poor regulation of them, they just blame their usual scapegoat - the big bad evil gubermint.
3
***** a few but hardly consequential. F&F didn't start the illegal gun trade with the cartels nor did it end with F&F

papersplease you're one of those unsub babies I was talking about. "Oh, waaaah!!! the channel I usually like said something I don't like!!! UNSUB!!!" I don't agree with Pakman here and his silly assertion that Reza is somehow dangerous philosophically speaking but I'm not going to unsub just because of that. We live in a world where people are not always going to agree with each other. That's life. And you unsubbed to MR - a channel that has what? a dozen at best vids on the Harris/Affleck/Aslan fiasco? Out of how many videos? A thousand? IMHO this whole thing has flushed out a lot of intolerance and ignorance which has been festering in the circles of supposedly liberal free-thinkers where clueless dolts think they are automatically intelligent just because they choose the opposite ideological brand from the conservatives and where they pick and choose what fits their mode of thinking discarding the rest without a second glance. Instead of unsubbing (and worse writing down on the channel in a childish passive-aggressive way) people need to listen to all sides and come to a decision for themselves.
3
good job supporting a freeloader and law breaker
3
you pretty sum up what's wrong with America - that being people like you infected with your bizarre conspiracy theories that have no basis in reality.
3
Malcrow Alogoran lol! You're 19 learning things they didn't tell you in high school and it scares you to have your bubble threatened with bursting. Drop out if it scares you that much.
3
whyamimrpink78 your myopic view is of little merit as usual
3
whyamimrpink78 my argument is that neither you nor the OP have any real argument to make based on your limited myopic experiences and you have both have proven my point.
3
Malcrow Alogoran so being liberal is wrong? I wasn't aware that being liberal was a bad thing.
3
whyamimrpink78 I didn't day conservatives did not want an education, you muppet. I said they don't go into education as many prefer to go into business. You need reading comprehension. As for romney winning the vote of the college graduate. Obama won the vote of the postgraduate so your point is moot.
3
Malcrow Alogoran go to a different school and grow up some in the meantime
3
Malcrow Alogoran o, you just don't get it that personal anecdotes which are especially unverifiable on this medium are of little value when you try to make it out as systemic of an entire system. Plus all I have seen from you is the suggestion that somehow liberalism is bad and shouldn't exist in academia.
3
Malcrow Alogoran that limited personal anecdotes are not a basis to make sweeping generalizations
3
Malcrow Alogoran and by your own words 50% don't agree with what you say so your point is moot.
3
Legitguy96forlife but there's no science there not even scientific speculation. What you are talking about is more in the realm of philosophy and conjecture. Cosmos is about observable science which can be tested and theorized to a certain extent. Anyway, it's their damn show and they can do what they want.

***** Given that FGM predates Islam by more than millennia and from another continent, I think it safe to conclude that FGM and Islam are not intricately linked. How is Aslan's rhetoric detrimental to the discussion? He was shooting down two CNN hosts who were throwing everything and the kitchen sink without any connection to each other because they have little knowledge of those regions. And this is the crux of the matter - whether right or left we suffer from too much general ignorance but that doesn't stop us from barging in throwing generalizations and blames every which way.
3
***** You are making less sense as you warble on. Do you not get it? FGM is no more connected to Islam than it is to Christianity or any outside culture that has been adopted. Even if Buddhism had spread there they would continue or even secularism as they would use science to justify their practice. "Should I take Aslan's absence in your previous post as an implicit agreement that he is a detrimental to the discussion?" Seriously, WTF are you babbling about?
3
***** no my comment was about why is it bad to look further into situations and that Aslan was right in taking two CNN hosts to task for being ignorant. You busted in screaming FGM, Islam, and Aslan are all connected and won't let it go despite me telling you the fact that FGM predates Islam and started on another continent. You're like some obsessed asperger sufferer who cannot let something go and repeat the same thing over and over again.
3
***** whatever, dude. I find it ironic that you keep saying Aslan is detrimental to the FGM issue when it was only a talking point made to show how Maher and later the CNN hosts were ignorant of both Islam and that part of the world. In fact it is you who are detrimental to the FGM problem with your obsessive mountain out of a molehill over one talking point. Had Alsan made numerous attempts to stop people from discussing FGM you might be on something (other than your medication) but that is not the case here. You refuse to look beyond the fact that FGM predates Islam and originated on another continent and is not heavily practiced in the areas where Islam first began and had its centers of power and influence from Mecca to Damascus to Baghdad to Istanbul. It originated in Pre-Islamic/Pre-Christian central africa. The Greeks wrote about the practice in Ancient Egypt. The influx of those religions and modern influences have had little affect on stopping the practice despite christian and islamic leaders preaching against it. Attacking Islam and Aslan(?) over FGM is missing the target by a mile. I think you care less about FGM and care more about using it to sling mud at Aslan and Islam. This is why you not Aslan are ultimately detrimental to the discussion. You want to focus on the superficial and play your cute pseudo-intellectual word games while refusing to acknowledge that FGM is a deeply rooted issue not to be simply solved by blaming a religion that came long after it. I'm sorry but you offer nothing and are as clueless and useless as those CNN hosts - plus I think you have some issues you need to work out with a professional.

Jacob Henry so it's even worse as he is wanting people to elect officials that will create state-sanctioned execution of homosexuals. I'll take a pissed off grieving step-father's emotional outburst over the cold remorseless advocation of government executions of whom he deems undesirable.
3
***** I know he doesn't because he used switzerland in the first place. In Switzerland all the guns are registered and regulated hence why gun crime is low. The NRA claimed more guns = less crime but 1) that's proven to be wrong and 2) they are against any kind of gun registration
3
there's that lack of empathy you gun nuts are known for. No wonder more people are backing away from you guys. You're tactless and despicable.
3
They couldn't even stay in step or turn at the right time in their little march demonstration. The guy in the blue shirt and tan hat looked drunk. I feel sorry for the dog having to be with them and having the highest IQ of the lot.
3
I was more than a little suspicious when he said blacks and gays were more than welcome to hang out in his neighborhood as long as they wanted. Florida, I think the time for an intervention is long past due.

The demonizing of incels isn't helping either and just further fuels the self-loathing and victimization complex. These aren't entitled rich guys with power or influence. Many of them were or are being bullied and mocked in junior and high school by their peers causing some of them to go down dark paths aided by certain internet forums which pile on the aforementioned self-loathing and victimization. The incel issue is a multifaceted multi-layered problem that can't be solved simply by legalizing prostitution or putting them all under government surveillance. They are more a dark byproduct of a society that stigmatizes both sex work and paying for sex (even though rich guys hit up escorts and sugar babies all the time), a society that emphasizes personal success lies in shallow sexual conquest and having the perfect partner(s) which is based on materialism (materialism reinforced by advertising and marketing), a subculture of the internet that feeds on and spreads negativity, and wrapped around it all is undiagnosed mental illnesses due to low quality healthcare. Throw in declining education standards and manipulation by socio-political movements like the Alt-right which try to make feminism as part of some kooky communist plot to take over the world and you get incels: yet another modern primarily first world problem to distract us from our encroaching societal collapse and potential extinction from climate change.
3
their voter base is tribalistic. All they want to do is own the libs but they have very little identity of their own except to be anti-liberal
3
what's embarrassing for the US as a whole is to have this nothing burger become a major issue for voters. They voted for a guy to stop something that doesn't exist.
3
BuckGreywolfe missing the point by a few light years

@georginamckay9615 he's a mob boss clown 🤡
3
to be far the mentality had been brewing for quite sometime thanks to Fox and rightwing pundits like Rush. What Trump did was tap into that and play a kind of Pied Piper to the Frankenstein monster of the GOP

Into his happy meal fund

and another no content channel rushes to Gabbard's defense. Is David Brock working on her campaign?
3
@Joel-it1zp whatever, Joe. You're about as genuine as a wooden 3 dollar bill handed out on the 37th of Septober.
3
@cathjj840 no they don't. I've taught english in other countries and they don't talk/write like a bloody press blurb with fawning praise like a marketing agent having an orgasm over their product. But why am I bothering explaining this to a sock?
3
@jamesmitchell7185 says a no content troll channel
3
@Aaron-kj8dv sucker punching Nazis? No Content, please!
3
for a people who claim to be Christian and Patriotic they show themselves to be at odds with the basic principles of both but that doesn't stop them in the slightest
3
to be fair all the rightwing grifters have seized on CRT as their attention-getter knowing full well their audience (ie their marks) don't have a clue what it is
3
Conservatives : We're not Fascists! Meanwhile their words and actions tick nearly every box on the definition of fascism. I think like socialism, most of them have no clue what fascism means except a bad word often thrown at them.
3
Had they encountered any politician or aide on Jan 6th I doubt we could have trusted that mob to adhere to the better angels of their nature and that goes with most at Trump rallies
3
they have no principles except to be anti-liberal
3
@davidbelsky7697 "it’s their choice to consume the lies because that’s what they want to believe." bang on. It's not like they were innocent doe-eye creatures who fell into a trap of violent rightwing rhetoric and became monsters. They were actively seeking this stuff out for confirmation bias and reinforcement of their morally bankrupt philosophy.
3
He's a prima Donna who doesn't want to share the stage with anyone
3
@BlankBrain true but fewer votes makes it harder to do so without it looking more obvious than it already is
3
no, apathy, middle-of-the-road-conservatism and spinelessness matched by gerrymandering, voter suppression, and cheating is why Democrats lose races
