  1. This "Sterling is a Democrat" idea is a continuation of ongoing rightwing projection and demonizing of liberals. Lately you find rightwingers arguing that Hitler was a leftist and therefore a liberal and apparently therefore liberals are Nazis etc... because Nazi had the word socialist in it.  Also is the thrown around myth that many mass shooters have been Democrats: http://www.examiner.com/article/the-idea-that-recent-mass-shooters-are-mostly-registered-democrats-is-a-myth What's funny (and disturbing) is that when liberals criticize or make fun of conservatives they generally have it right though perhaps a bit exaggerated when they call conservatives bible-thumping gun-loving hypocrites with racist sexist tendencies. Whereas when conservatives make fun or criticize liberals you get some major projecting going on when they say liberals are racists who don't like free speech and want a totalitarian government. Other times I don't know who the hell they are talking about because rigntwing pundits make so many strawmen it's hard to keep track of them all.

  2. I think this is an issue more with conservatives than liberals/progressives. To me party affiliation hardly matters but rather more important is the person's words and deeds. This is why when gun-lovers bring up Senator Yee a gun control democrat recently busted for gun trafficking, I say I don't care that he is Democrat or favors gun control because he is first and foremost a criminal (allegedly). His crimes don't negate the arguments in favor of gun regulation. However, the opposite is the case with Cliven Bundy who is breaking the law and is a racist and yet some people still support him because they themselves are anti-government and scarcely closeted racists. With Yee he betrayed the ideals he pretended to believe in much like any con-artist would and gun control people would want him punished for actively doing the opposite of what he pretended to stand for. Bundy supporters support him because he pretty much represents their viewpoint.

  3. FUreplygirl lol! Bundy is your old school racist in that he doesn't think his viewpoint is as such because that's just the way people thought 50 years ago. He lacks the sensitivity and awareness to realize this.

  4. FUreplygirl no you don't know history. The federal government had that land before Nevada became a state in 1864. Bundy claimed his people came there in the 1870s or 80s but it was later found that his ranch was bought in 1948 2 years after the BLM was formed and his began ranching in 1954. So you're backing a lie
