  1. Rightwingers defend property rights unless it's public property which they feel entitled to use for their private purposes without paying for that use. They call liberals freeloaders and moochers but when one of their own refuses to pay taxes or uses public property without paying usage fees then they are patriots. Overly-armed individuals impending the legal removal of trespassing property are true americans while unarmed anti-corporate protestors occupying public lands are dangerous anti-american communists. Seriously I can't wait till these anti-progressive nut jobs dwindle and die off.

  8. - they didn't go to collect the debt - again they didn't go to collect the debt. They got cattle that was trespassing on federal land which Bundy did not have a right to since he refused to pay the grazing fees - probably because they didn't have enough money due to people like Bundy not paying - nothing to do with this story - does that change the fact that Bundy lost in court and refused to comply with a court order long before Kornze was appointed?

Slave owners championed states rights over which they exercised more control thru influence and money that would allow them to continue the practice of slavery. Slavery was an issue with the Northwest Ordinance and federal land ownership west of the original 13 states. Funny thing is precedents for federal land ownership and purchase were set by the darlings of the Tea Party - Washington, Jefferson, and Madison with the Northwest Ordinance and the Louisiana Purchase

If that land was privately owned he'd have been paying that landowner for usage and if that landowner wanted they could have shut him down at any time since it was never his land. It's only because it's federal land and there is this ignorant understanding of it that he and his misguided followers think they are entitled to do as they please with the land. That's not the case.
