  1.  moderatingmoderation  Trump won by having 3 million fewer votes due to an antiquated election system designed to appease slave-owning states. Even with a lot of people not liking crooked Hillary far more people prefer her to this buffoon. Even those who didn't vote at all are more likely to be against Trump than the alternative. The fact is Trump-voting people are a minority and continue to dwindle. Only by voter suppression and gerrymandering are they able to have any influence at all.

Arguing with much less trying to convince Trumpsters is ultimately a waste of time as many of them are so lost in their brainwashing that they pathologically loathe liberals in a kneejerk fashion where compromise or civil discourse isn't even an option, they are so riddled with psychological disorders from paranoia to cognitive dissonance to projection and overall many of them are simply ignorant and myopic. This is why the corporate Democrat approach of trying to woe some of the moderate right over to them is doomed to failure. They need to be marginalized as the extremists they are and not treated as normal. Ironically, by doing this we can better help them with better medical care, infrastructure, educational reform, etc...
