  1. This is ultimately why libertarianism doesn't work as you can't trust individual people particularly en masse to do the right thing. Too many people are short-sighted, selfish, myopic, and damn stupid. You've got people who can't stand staying home so they pack the clubs, the beaches, and restaurants in the middle of a pandemic thinking it won't happen to them but not realizing they are also endangering others who actually aren't so stupid.
