It's a combination of things - 1) unfair media coverage that's heavily slanted against him; 2) when they aren't reporting negatively about Sanders they ignore him; and 3) the method the polling is done is questionable. Bernie has the most individual donors across the country, has raised the most money on small donations, has more followers than the other candidates on social media, has a much larger and more active reddit forum than the other candidates, made a huge splash on Joe Rogan getting over 10 million views in less than 2 months, got a million likes on a climate change tweet which also called Trump an idiot, got record donations after the last debate before having the largest attended rally of any other candidate while getting major endorsements. If the media was fair, Bernie would be the obvious front runner given all these facts but instead you have outlets putting out stories with headlines like "Buttigieg in fourth but a strong fourth" - when Bernie was polling in third they were saying he should drop out. They're shameless.

The issue about the polls is they don't seem to line up with what a lot of people are seeing for themselves and seem more in line with Chomsky's manufactured consent. That some of the polls are finally showing some love for Bernie is likely a sign that support for Bernie is so strong that it's difficult to mask effectively anymore. Even with negative or no press, Bernie has been hitting it out of the park a lot unlike the other candidates. He went on Fox NEws where the other candidates refused to go which made them look both scared and elitist and he did very well getting a number of people in GOP country to rethink their evaluation of him. He had a great interview with Joe Rogan that got over 10 million views in less than two months with more positive commentary from people saying it opened their eyes. Bernie has more followers on social media and a more active reddit forum than the other candidates. One of his tweets not so long ago on climate change calling Trump an idiot got over 1 million likes. He's got more individual small-time donors than any other candidate and has raised the most money. Despite the heart attack and the negative press that followed, Bernie went on to hold the largest attended rally of any candidate in the primary while getting major progressive endorsements. And these are just some of the amazing things that have happened. What other candidate can compare to all this? If the DNC and the media weren't so corrupt Bernie would be far higher in the polls even as questionably done as they are.

So? Last time he had a ready-made hatred of Hillary to rely on. Old cold war propaganda only works on those 65+ and many of the old hippies aren't scared of communism.

@jonathanramos8517 It's to be expected but it'd be far worse with the other candidates. The only two that have a chance that is - Warren and Biden. With Biden, Trump will attack him on Ukraine and exploit his base's distain for Obama. With Warren he has a treasure trove of things to attack her from the Left like he did with Hillary - her being a Republican until her 40s, voting for his military budget, flipping foreclosed houses, the Native American DNA nonsense, giving him a standing ovation when Bernie stayed seated, and he'll likely exploit his bases's seething hatred of Hillary by claiming she stabbed Bernie in the back over the chance of the VP under Clinton in 2016. With Bernie? It'll mainly be old cold war propaganda without much personal assault which Trump excels at. It won't land as hard especially as he can't go too far without exposing his own ties to Russia.
