Guntards think they have this invincible argument with the car analogy and/or the knife/screwdriver kills more people statistic but with both they fail to understand or admit to the simple fact that on the whole they are much less dangerous than guns and have everyday uses completely unrelated to violence. With cars they fail to realize that we have passed numerous regulations to make them safer from manufacturer to the roads to the restrictions of the drivers. With knives and similar instruments you are unlikely to slip and kill someone or seriously injure them to the same level you could with a gun. Nor are you likely to kill or injury someone in another yard, house, room. We've had cases like were someone was cleaning their gun in a motel room when it went off and killed someone next door. Not going to happen with a knife or screwdriver. But logic and common sense is not applicable because in the end the guntard  will abandon all and just shout something 2nd Amendment like "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!" and consider their argument won.
