The Confederate Flag isn't racist - it was only designed by someone who supported slavery and supported war against the US to continue the institution of slavery then later the flag was raised on Southern capital grounds in the 60s in a sign of opposition to de-segregation and Civil Rights while also being carried proudly by the KKK known for beating and killing minorities. So how people could think it racist is just a conundrum to me.

  4. +Noel Ebbert but the American flag represents the country not the Founding Fathers nor 18th Century morality. The government and the country has changed over time and therefore so has the flag. The problem with the Confederate Flag is that it was designed by a government that ceased to exist which wanted to continue the institution of slavery. In the 1960s the Confederate Flag was raised on Southern state lands in opposition to Civil Rights - now what kind of pride is that and what kind of message were they sending?
