Some people will respond that the same reaction happens with Bernie but the big difference is many of the attacks on Bernie are factually untrue and can be easily proven with facts such as Mimi Rocah saying she thinks Bernie is not an ally of women and the response was to show decades of speeches showing his support of women's issues and being made an honorary woman by Gloria Steinem in the 90s thus showing Rocah's "critique" incorrect. Or there was the time Hillary asked "Where was Bernie during my Healthcare Reform?" which got cheers from her crowd then immediately photos&bills surface showing Bernie was right behind her. On the other hand with Tulsi and other candidates, they all have moments when they were on the wrong side of history such as Tulsi and LGBTQ issues and Israel but because they have "changed" we are supposed to not be troubled by the lack of consistency. When attacked with facts not lies or distortions, their followers react negatively because they know there is validity to the criticism.
