  1. the militia are basically the brown/blackshirts of the fascists of pre-WWII Germany and Italy - insanely patriotic, relatively uneducated, prone to violence, intolerant towards others be they foreigners, minorities, different political views, etc... All they need is a charismatic "tough" leader who will "attack" the modern weimar republic and end the tyranny of equality for all, environmental regulation, gun laws (except against the undesirables), etc.. and as long as he makes bombastic speeches about praising the constitution and idolizing the Founding Fathers, they'll love him despite him being the exact opposite of those things and ideals.

If it had been land privately owned by another individual, this would not even be a case. Bundy would have been taken to court and his grazing rights removed by the owner but some freeloaders think public land is their sole right to use

Bundy didn't want to pay to use public lands which he had no entitlement to and militia types were just itching for any excuse to start something against the evil gubermint. I think it hilariously hypocritical that these deluded doofus went to defense of a freeloader against the property rights of the land owner - something which conservatives are always howling against.

The Nevada State Constitution allows for federal ownership of land so if your panties are in a wad about this take up with their state legislative. You're wrong on every issue here! lol!

Bundy is wrong and has been wrong since the beginning. the federal government has owned that land since the 1840s. Bundy's family did not arrive until 1948 and didn't start grazing cattle until 1954 8 years after BLM had been formed. Also the Nevada state constitution allows for federal ownership of land so take it up with the Nevada state government - you're all about states' rights, right? (Except when they don't fit your narrow view) And I did not say anything about Bundy not being a capitalist - he is in the sense of exploiting to his advantage. What I was saying is his militia supporters are reminiscent of the brownshirts/SA who existed before the rise of Mussolini and Hitler to power. They are dissatisfied with this current government but a rightwing theocratic government which favored them they would be in complete support of.
