Given that a number of Trump supporters are neo-confederates how will this sit with them. They've been willing to ignore every other glaring inconsistency Trump shows but this is sacred cow territory to them. They've been screaming the Civil War wasn't about slavery but states' rights (to own slaves but I digress). Which delusion will win out? Will there be a Civil War in their heads leading to a record number of aneurysms?
