  1. very true. I've been saying that Trump represents the ID of the Republican base after decades of steady propaganda full of indignation, paranoia, and abject fear. However, Trump has ginned that base up speaking directly to their programmed minds that they seem him as their only hope until the next one comes along who can do the same. They're basically Brown Shirts waiting for a Dictator to tell them what to do.

We have to drop the false equivalency arguments that random twitter users wanting some celebrity cancelled over identity politics is the equivalent of people storming the Capitol to stop election procedures for the sake of a authoritarian conman. Mainstream media needs to stop coddling these deluded fascists and call them out for what they are.
