It's the same with scientific observation except with the former, proof is not excepted until tested and tested again and verified. Conspiracy theories however will take the smallest of evidence and create a new reality out of it without being critical. But not every conspiracy idea is wrong - Tonkin Bay for example. I think it important to be suspicious but not to the point of paranoia
