  2. Problem is too many lefties are lazy. They like internet activism and making twitter storms. The Right feels they are at war so more them will organize at grassroots level but it also helps they get funding from rightwing wealthy elites.

  3. yeah but this doesn't explain or solve the problem of conservatives in the rank and file of the GOP who are helping this system. With this grassroots/astroturf movements they are aiding (because they are getting funding) to change society to be more supportive of stronger laws which will continue the prison system and uphold the judicial system, to be less questioning of authority so that wars can continue to be waged for the profit of the defense contractors, to be ignorant of the past so that future actions can be done without criticism and protest

  4. Mega-wealthy elite don't care about the culture war because like the elites of theocratic countries like Saudi Arabia they don't deny themselves the pleasures of the flesh. Overall, the agenda of these astro-turf righties aligns with theirs because they support prisons, strong police force, perpetual war against "America's enemies", tax breaks for the rich, undermining education to keep down intellectual resistance, etc...

  5. Rightwingers know how to toe the line because they have a war mentality of "us vs them" that prioritizes the war over most inner divisions. Part of this is a realization deep down they are are outnumbered so they double-down on having a more solid front thus giving the impression they have larger numbers than they actually do. Leftwingers on the other hand have too many who are overly sensitive to their individual concerns and they will quickly throw one another under the bus and the overall consensus is to be understanding of various viewpoints to the point of ineffectuality. In this case, I hate to quote Shitpiro, but facts don't care about feelings and in the case of unity rightwingers unify under the fact they are at war (in their minds) with the Left while too many leftists give into their feelings of not being accepted enough or being offended too easily by other leftists and tear each other apart while the Right outflanks them yet again.
