Old feminism even with its darker elements (racism and radicalism) was focused on solving problems - voting rights and equal opportunity in the work place. Modern feminism largely isn't interested in solving anything preferring to throw around obscure academic terms and griping. They blame men for the failure of women-empowered projects - women's team sports and movies with strong female leads - completely ignoring hugely successful products that have a predominately female base - boy bands, girl singers, Twilight-ish books/films, reality shows like Desperate Housewives, etc... They also ignore that more women of their own choice including many if not all these feminists choose not to go into fields like STEM. Instead of studying this social phenomenon they prefer to yell "Fight the Patriarchy!" (without any solution how or what to do if they somehow overthrew it). They overlook that the overwhelming number of social media influencers are women over 80% and many of them outperform their male counterparts - silence...
