jumbo shrimp "Funny how people refer to him as a "Canadian" LMMFAO" That's because he is a Canadian. He is not a billionaire though as his net worth currently is about $400 million. In 2017, he campaigned to be the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. He was a frontrunner in the polls during much of that time, but dropped out in April 2017, one month before the election, citing a lack of support in Quebec. https://olearyforcanada.ca/ He may have pulled out early, due to his lack of fluent French which is mandatory for anyone to eventually be elected Prime Minister. https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/kevin-oleary-tests-his-french-skills-during-bilingual-debate

wig thplitter "This guy didn't become a billionare by spending his own money " He is not a billionaire; as his net worth currently is about $400 million and after many google searches, I still haven't been able to find out if his $400 million is in Canadian dollars or US dollars which makes a big difference.

craig robb "this guy ran for PM of canada too" Not quite. First he'd have to become leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, which he failed in. Had he succeeded in that first hurdle he then would have been up against Justin Trudeau. He was just another bombastic type (think Trump-lite) who thought Canadians might fall for the similar Trump B.S. the Americans tend to. We didn't.

@craigrobb8197 "kind of nit-picky, it's like saying bernie never ran for president" Not at all. We have a parliamentary system in Canada. A person can only be the Prime Minister or a minister if they are a member of parliament. So, if the Prime Minister or a minister lost their seat in an election they would no longer be a member of parliament. The Prime Minister is the leader of the government and is chosen by a vote of the members of the government.

@Daniea3 "Born in Massachusetts but enjoying all the benefits of Canadian healthcare..." O'Leary was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, one of two sons of Georgette (née Bukalam), a small-business owner and investor of Lebanese descent, and Terry O'Leary, a salesman of Irish descent. Kevin's brother is Shane O'Leary.
