They wanted to show Zeus their physical power and muscular physique. Showing off their bodies also helped intimidate other competitors. Playing Devil's Advocate: Are you ashamed of these perfect examples of the athletic human form on display, in top form, showing the world that they are indeed the best at whatever particular sport they've trained their entire young lives to compete in?

@RecklessOne411 "if they don't want to parade around half naked so you can get your jolly then it's their prerogative." It's my prerogative not to watch the sport and not be subjected to constant propaganda to buy, buy buy. All I'm saying is what's good for the goose should be equally good for the gander. If women athletes must wear bikini bottoms then so should the men.

You've obviously never been to a "ladies night" with male strippers. In a previous life, I've deejayed a few. There are women, (and men) who love to see a strapping young jock, at the top of his game, in his birthday suit performing sporting routines, he practised his entire young life.

@mauricemoore3193 Those women complaining about trans women and usually not the same crowd enjoying a male strip show...just sayin. I speak from experience.
