As a yet another Canadian voice, I can say unequivocally that the Leader of the NDP in Canada, Jagmeet Singh is our version of Bernie Sanders...only younger and a tad greener. But he is growing into the position nicely. If you like him, Google the late Jack Layton and especially Google Tommy Douglas of Saskatchewan the Great Grandad of the NDP in Canada and the creator of the Government healthcare Canada now enjoys.

Absolutely correct. however, one small detail: B.C. is an abbreviation for British Columbia, the western most province in Canada tucked between Alaska (to the north and Washington State to the south). Bernie's removing student debt stateside is not going to help us train more of our own Canadian doctors. Even with this major glitch, an overwhelming majority of Canadians (including me) still prefer our Government run health-care the the U.S. system.

@margaretnicol3423 "I do know where BC is but are you saying there are no American Drs working in Canada" Not vast numbers, but there's bound to be a few, I had the same doctor from 1984 until about 2016 and when he retired the clinic he's part of brought in a new graduate doctor and she now gives me excellent care. Not once, that I know of, have I ever been introduced to or worked on by an American doctor (specialists included). The problem seems to be that most new Canadian medical School graduates want to specialise and not be GP's because of the perceived longer hours sometimes involved and very rural practices interested in hiring, them rather than major cities.

@Todd_Roy "David Doel is shady at best " How so? Not one Canadian here has said anything nasty about David Doel and I think we know shady...after watching POTUS 45 for the past three years.
