You mean the American owners of said company, decided years ago that it costs too much to make things in the USA? You seem to think it was the government who decided to manufacture things offshore? This is similar to what happen back in the 1950's and 1960's when American companies decided to manufacture there products in Japan and eventually Japan became the best counterfeiters as far as producing cheap knockoffs. Eventually, Japan became an innovator and now produces cutting edge technology. China has now moved into that phase and is now producing similar cutting edge technological advances most recently in AI. It's capitalism. Whatever gives you back the most Benjamins on their investment is where manufacturing takes place.
