Could you give us some links to show "how the liberal nations are dying and how the liberal cities are crime and poverty stricken, as well as drowning in debt." Otherwise you're just making blanket statements, while BS'ing your way thru life...much like the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave has done and is currently doing and the world is suffering for it.

kronos2501; NetRep; They can also see how Crony Capitalism sucks when watching disaster relief in your own country. Examples: Peurto Rico, Mississippi, Florida (Hurricanes and oil spills), and Chicago (undrinkable water). The are just a few examples, there are plenty more.

Bosingr; Most of my "liberal or leftist" friends and acquaintances tend to be curious by nature.; meaning getting their news from multiple sources, (left right and centre; mainstream and independent). All this extra knowledge helps you to form an well-thought-out opinion.

moorek1967+Lonnie Dobbins III; This is the first I've heard of The Charter. Sounds similar in nature to the often talked about, never revealed, Gay Agenda. I've been waiting 44 years for my copy in the mail. I did move a lot though. LOL! Though I identify as a GWM, I'm often interacting with other SWMs and they would have mentioned it at some point.

More US propaganda.

Is red really the colour of Socialism? https://www.theverge.com/2012/11/6/3609534/republicans-red-democrats-blue-why-election. This is an opinion piece and not be considered proper journalism. For that to happen perhaps Mr. Stossel could give an equal amount of time on the positive side of Socialism as practised in the Scandinavian countries.

@oldRoyaltypewriter In 2016 the rate in British Columbia was $72 per month for a single, fully employed, resident of the province. My employer paid for my Provincial healthcare monthly off my cheque as well as a "full benefits private health plan (Great West Life Insurance) thru my employer which they picked up the full tab on. I had a heart attack July 1st (Canada Day) 2016, which I mistook for heartburn, then a possible stroke (I thought it might be a flu bug) the following Friday (July 8th), I then waited another week decided to get myself checked out since Vancouver General Hospital was only 5 blocks from my place. The ER checked my vitals and then spent the next 7 days in hospital. First night in a bed in the ER and then transferring to the Intensive Care Ward. Not because I wasn't doing well, simply because it was an available bed. Later that day I was in a private room for the rest of my stay. One stent installed in my heart and removal of a liver stone . Total bill upon leaving: zero, Zilch. nada, none. Was informed by zthe nurse that handled my release that if this had been stateside I would have been out of pocket at least $20,000 dollars. Did I mention the food was very tasty. I have nothing but praise for our Canadian Single-Payer health system. My extended private plan only had to cover me for my prescription drugs (approx. $85 without it and about $30 with the plan.) Here's a link to the BC Government website: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/health-drug-coverage/msp/bc-residents/premiums/rates

@DougFLTRX Are you always this rude? You're missing the point. How much were you "out of pocket"? I still had no "out of pocket" expenses. As a resident of BC, once registered, I am automatically covered usually with no "out of pocket" expenses.
