  1. Last Saturday, October 24th 2020, we had a provincial election here in British Columbia. Our "left leaning" New Democratic Party elected 55 MLA's, and the B.C. Liberals elected 29 MLA's and the Greens elected 3 MLA's. We still have to wait about weeks for the over 500,000 mail in ballots to be counted for a final tally, which may affect a few very close ridings. No big deal. Our Premier John Horgan (pre-election running a minority government and now with a majority government) said he was going back to work on Monday morning to continue governing where they left off. I now realize how we do things differently in Canadian elections than the $hit$how south of us. We did the whole thing in 30 days; from calling the election to voting day. Mail-in ballots and advance voting at a multitude of locations around the province made voting incredibly easy even on the actual voting day things went very smoothly even with the COVID19 restrictions in place.
