@jacobdoyle420 @Ian G "yes but it was at a peak low with Jack Layton. it spiked again after Singh." I think you have that reversed. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/singh-quebec-jack-layton-1.5322553 "...Layton, who died of cancer in August, 2011, was credited with bringing 59 Quebec MPs to the House of Commons in that year's election, making the party caucus the Official Opposition for the first time ever." If Jack Layton had lived, He and not Justin Trudeau would have been Canada's Prime Minister.

Alsatiagent "You will not hear about this from most Canadian media." CBC gives credit to Singh: https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/covid19-benefits-ei-cerb-transition-1.5737054 CTV not so much: https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/feds-begin-new-sitting-by-boosting-covid-19-recovery-benefit-1.5118330

Kathy Lewis "...However, the news reader kept pronouncing them as Sicks, not Seeks." From my 60 seconds of googling I did find this BC.CTV news story written by a Sikh reporter on the proper pronunciation. Sikh rhymes with "sick" not "seek" https://bc.ctvnews.ca/with-vaisakhi-celebrations-ahead-do-you-know-how-to-pronounce-sikh-1.4374915?cache=yes%3FclipId%3D104056 Jatinder Singh with the Sikh Youth of Victoria said the pronunciation likely dates back to the British India period. He explained, when he speaks English he says Sikh [seek] while in Punjabi he says Sikh [si-ckh]. That being said, it's a mixed bag as numerous other sites suggest "Sikh" rhymes with "seek."

Kayla McAllister "I am from BC and we are going to polls and it sucks." I'm also a BCer and just registered online for my mail-in ballot. Why does it suck for you? https://elections.bc.ca/voting/how-to-vote-by-mail/
