This fall we may have both a provincial election in B.C. and a federal election and PM Justin Trudeau's minority Liberal government needs all the votes it can get if they want to stay in power and a very large number of voting-age Canadians really dislike Trump. I've been hearing that the Federal Government is interested in opening a dialogue on Universal Basic Income which I assume would be a similar amount to the CERB ($2000) per month which could replace the monthly $1200 most of us seniors get. I'd be game for that providing they made that CAD$24,000.00 per year cut-off and didn't deduct any federal taxes from it.
