While mainstream mass media, on the whole, "represent government and corporate interests", alternative media (which Fox News likes to portray themselves as) tend to be "non-commercial projects that advocate the interests of those excluded from the mainstream", for example, the poor, political and ethnic minorities, labor groups, and LGBT identities. Does that sound like Fox news to you?

  32. In Canada, we have the CBC, our state-owned (Crown Corporation) media network. However, it does not bow to the wishes of whatever government is in power (unlike Fox).
