In this particular party instance, this is equivalent to "culling the herd". Sometimes the less intelligent ones have to go. Nobody twisted their arms to go. Some of these party people, who with advance warning of the stupidity of their actions, will undoubtedly end up as 2020 Darwin Award winner recipients...unable to reproduce...and I have no problem with that.

However, as Rahm Emanuel reprises 'never let a crisis go to waste' catchphrase amid coronavirus pandemic, this could/should be a teachable moment here. There are consequences for your actions as in "Gee kids, Thanksgiving dinner this year (if there is one) may have noticeably fewer "older" family members in attendance". How about charging anyone caught infecting others by attending "unsanctioned events" and or purposely coughing and/or sneezing on people and/or grocery store goods with domestic terrorism and put them in Guantanamo Bay for a stay?

@mrmusiclover4178 "We are all in this together." I'm sorry, but there is a price to pay for doing stupid sh!t. Especially when you've been educated as to the risks and you still carry on like you're invincible despite all the warnings. I re-iterate: It takes a special kind of stupid and if you wish to be a Darwin Award recipient, then the gene pool is that much better off for it.

@dumbunny8128 "If you let them leave, that's allowing the disease to spread." Okay...how about this angle...what happens to the parents allowing their kids to attend. Should we feel sorry for them as well. Perhaps we should child services involved and have their kids removed from the home (and maybe put in cages). How low can we go to absolve everyone for their stupidity, including anyone ignorant enough to show up at an Easter Sunday service. I'm a progressive lefty but at this juncture I total agree with Dennis Miller (who's anything but left) and his thoughts on culling of the herd.
