They are willing to trade with China. This is the same like Japan. Japan is international currency due to Japan exporting goods to all 200 countries on earth. China holds USD because it wants to mimic Soros when he made the UK and Asia bankrupt. When China holds USD in cash, it can drop USD overnight. It holds USD 3.2 Trillion out of USD 12 Trillion of total USD reserve on earth. Among that number USD 700 billion is on US bonds.
