  1. Based on Peterson institute study done in Dec 2023, it found 1. Asia held 50% of the USD reserve. China held USD 3.2 Trillion. Among that much money, the USA bonds were only USD 700 billion. Japan came 2nd with USD 1.2 Trillion and all of that money were in the form of US bonds. Japan is the only country on earth that cannot use its own currency for its foreign reserve. 2. European only held USD 1 Trillion 3. Middle East held USD 800 billion 4. Latin America held USD 600 billion 5 Africa only held USD 85 billion. What Peterson institute worried was if Asia turns 25% of its USD reserve into something else like Yuan or Euro. If that happens, the USA would go bankrupt.
