55 years Indonesia has been living as a democratic and capitalist country with 8 presidents, but why the more democratic Indonesia is the more corruption cases Indonesia has. Indonesia is even getting poorer with democratic and capitalism. Do you think capitalism and democracy can solve Indonesia problems? After 33 years the world has been in democracy and capitalism era, the world is getting poorer too. Have you seen any countries that can surpass the USA allies?

of course, traumatize because stupid Suharto. He didn't know the effect of globalization in finance.

@pcyden986 Nah. No matter how good the plan is, as long as the USA can manipulate its currencies in non-USA allies, it will mean nothing. See this equation. Everything is measured in the USD in this world, thanks to Bretton wood agreement. So, If Indonesia wants to have USD 100K a year GDP per head, thus, the equation will be USD 100K x Y= Rp. Y is the exchange rate. If Y is 1 USD = Rp 2. Thus, to get USD 100K, each Indonesian only needs USD 100K x Rp 2 = Rp 200K. So how about the USA manipulates its currency into 1 USD = Rp 2000 trillion tomorrow? Then an Indonesia needs to collect USD 100K x Rp 2,000 trillion = Rp 200 million trillion. Can any Indonesian work to increase each Indonesian income from Rp 200K into Rp 200 million trillion overnight when Soros comes? This is a very corrupt financial system. None of any empires in the world have manipulated its currency like the USA does.

@abizarhasan8590 setuju. Amerika dgn demokrasi itu tujuannya utk mendongkel regime yg gak disukainya dgn membela kaum minoritas yg melawan pemerintah yg di pilih mayoritas warga. Setelah di gulingkan, ya sistem penjajahan terjadi.

hahah bro, itu psy war AMerika dgn Indonesia. Lihat saja tuh Suriah. LSM2 di bayarin spy sebut hutang Indonesia tinggi. Tujuannya apa?

@mas9417 semakin demokrasi Indonesia, semakin banyak koruptor. Coba bandingkan dgn sistem komunis Vietnam. Lu korupsi di sana, di gantung. Di Amerika, Trump korupsi, bukannya di gantung, malah jadi presiden.

@tommyking626 off course the debt interest is sky high as the world interest mecca is the fed. Indonesia cannot rise debts with lower interest rates lower than the Fed. If it does, no one will buy. 2md one is there are some old debts from Suharto era that Indonesia is paying. The USD has been manipulated so badly from 1 USD = Rp 7.5 in 1969 into 1 USD = Rp 16,800 when Soros came. This is Rp 16,800/Rp 7.5 = 2,240x. Thus, this will affect to the amount Indonesia needs to pay. That's why globalization in finance has more harms than the benefits.

@theburden9920 Long run for what? 55 years after the collapse of the Sukarno regime. Indonesia has experienced 8x of changing regime. The result? Indonesia is getting poorer while all natural resources are almost gone, the currency is getting a rubbish currency, etc. So how long can Indonesians see this capitalist democracy system works in Indonesia? Another 500 years? When Sukarno was alive, the corruption was so small. Suharto came, 30% of Indonesia budget was corrupted. Now? All Indonesia parliaments are from political parties. All district heads are from political parties. All of those need to market themselves called campaign. The cost for campaigning is getting more expensive. To set you as a head of a district, you need Rp 120 billion for your campaign. At least you need 2 periods to pay off that campaign fee, if you rely on your wages only. For the 2nd term, the cost will be higher if you include inflation. After Indonesia is becoming a democratic country, the result is so bad. Lessor laws have been produced by the parliament. Districts problems become worst. Look at Jakarta now. Because of climate changes, the sea water has already entered the mainland. NGOs Forbid people being relocated by the local government in the name of human rights. The local government ask people to ask those NGOs for their responsibilities.

@malesmandi nah. They are all good. Why? be creative. Anything can be made on those strategic infrastructure program. Indonesia can learn from tram company in Hong Kong. All skyrocketing properties along in those tram rails are owned by the same company. Imagine if those SOEs bought lands at the entrances or exits of the toll roads, how much money those SOEs will earn money?

@budisetiantp yup. Agree. See how the USA bribed Suharto 9% shares in Freeport Indonesia in 1969. The funny thing is that this bribery has never been exposed to the USA public, although there is a law that forbidden any American bribes. Are there any other countries' officers. Hence, the USA has a good corruption index

@budias9051 I am tired living in a democratic and capitalist country. In a democratic country, a ghost pass by and the country leadership will change. Having a new leader is like you get a box of chocolate. You will never know what you got. Every 10 years, a new leader will be elected. Thus, the country will experience some learning curve and painful. Every day, you will hear news about demonstration here and there including economy. Those make you panic. You can hear noise. Those Noice are not necessary the right Noice. With democracy, leaders become so greedy. Corruption happens. However, the definition of corruption changes based on the politician's taste. For example, giving shares to an officer is not a corruption but it becomes a corruption if you give the shares to a foreign officer. In a capitalist country, you work hard and invest but your investments turn into sour when the fed increase or decrease its interest rates. You work hard to repay a country inflation.

@TheAnonymousKnightOfJustice Corruption? LOL Trump was a corruptor. Now he is the US president. Even he would fire judges that brought him to the court. 55 years Indonesia has been a democratic and capitalist country with 8 presidents but why is Indonesia still poor? Why the more democratic Indonesia is, the more corruption cases it has?
