  2. Australians are split like elsewhere on US and China. Most Australians recognise our vulnerability and therefore our need to form alliances with militarily stronger nations. However, there is also an undercurrent of distrust of the US due to Vietnam and Iraq. Our PM sided with the US against popular opinion about our participation in both wars. Some people don't see China as a threat and we are tied economically to China so that complicates things. Really we are vetween a rock and a hard place when it comes to US and China. I think most Australians except the very gung ho, were always dubious about whether the US would come to our aid and generally trump is disliked and cinsidered a fool.

  3. Vance is a rank amateur and ignorant of geopolitics and history. His behaviour is transparent - suck up to the boss at every opportunity (displace the competition aka Musk) get noticed and talked about by any means and then usurp the CEO.
