Something to consider is that if those countries cut off supply from Russia will the effect on its citizens be such that support for Ukraine declines and pressure is applied to politicians to cnage its policy. Germany's behaviour in regards to Ukraine suggests overconfidence in their national security. Worst case scenario: trump is re elected and pulls all support for Ukraine and pulls out of NATO. Pressure is put on Ukraine to negotiate and concede territory. Putin is emboldened ignores any signed agreements and takes more territory mives on to Moldova then annexes Belarus and no doubt Estonia. A weakened NATO either cannot or will not defend. Suddenly Poland and Germany look very easy targets.
