  6.  @moerocco775  no atmosphere outside the games. Look at the German EUROs. Fans in the streets, in the culture. Meanwhile in Qatar they were just stuffed in fan parks because the stadiums were in the middle of no where.

  7. @ except it wasnt a great world cup…I used Germany as the most recent example. Brazil had it, Russia had it, South Africa had it. Never said fans didnt have a good time either, and if your only defence is going to he no one was drunk then your argument really id weak. These arent western nations. These are footballing nations. They have the pedigree, the history. Football is in these countries DNA. Qatar didn’t have that. We just had a middle eastern world cup. Next we have the Americas hosting them I believe Spain, Portugal and Morocco. What about Australia? New Zealand? Japan? There are other countries that fall into this asia/Oceania region, why straight back to the middle east, especially given how unknown of an area it may be in 10 years. Other nations simply deserve to host it more, not another country solely interested in money and sportswashing.
