I've noticed Americans say Robin Hood like it's all one word "Robinhood" always wondered about that, along with lots of other pointless stuff lol

The hypocrisy is terrible but victors get away with it unfortunately. You could argue many of the British should have been punished for treatments of people in the colonies and taking places by force. They aimed charges at the Germans that they did themselves and Russians also did crimes against humanity. Or Americans in California against the natives. Many things are brushed under the carpet and it's not just that. There's still a lot of talk about the suffering at stalingrad by the Germans, Russians too, but we still don't see much about the over 10 million Russian troops who died or their treatment during the whole of ww2 or the 16 + million soviet civilians who perished. History and the like seems to be selective about what we study or look at and it's wrong to do that based on what's the best story rather then the humanity or lack there of.

They only paid the surviving fireman, greasers et cetera 5 days pay,up to the time the ship sank on the night morning of the 14th and 15th of april and was it 25dollars they paid the survivors in hospital, what's that today about 400 dollars, pathetic.

The historian with the glasses,I like his long hair, like he's just stepped out of a time machine from the 17th century
12
Don't they also say that during battle the numbers are often 2 injured for every 1 death in the casualty list?

Fuehrer or Führer is how it's spelt.
6
It wasn't fascism it was national socialism. The Italians were fascists under mussolini the Nazis were worse than fascists. The Russians just called them all fascists under the same banner.

4
They still would have had to go up against the british navy even if they won the battle in the air,the Germans would have been blown out of the water..
4
Because they were interviewed over 20 years ago.
3
No, Hindenburg was the president of Deutschland.

Dan kovač Not really as it was the British who invented the tank not Michael Wittman, the Wright brothers invented flight so that makes sense but there is no comparison between wittman and the Wright brothers

@mirandaxx954 America and Britain liberated some of the camp's but mainly Russians that's why you were told that
1
@randyjenkins8743 That's because they needed the small fishing vessels to get in close to shore. That was an evacuation. Are you saying they were not a marine super power? You haven't a clue
1
No they didn't they made them move the borders but Churchill wanted to save Poland from the reds
1

I doubt it pal we were a marine super power, how could they cross the channel with a navy much smaller and they lost the battle of Britain in the air

Angers me that the Generals were so useless. It's like they didn't know what they were doing. 19'240 dead on the first day, that's approx a third of the dead that the U.S had in the whole of the Vietnam war . Why didn't Haig have the artillery firing ahead of the troops going in like later on, it seems like common sense to do that anyway instead of bombarding them for hours and hoping that they were all dead. Terrible tactics and very sad. And I too hope they found peace, bless their hearts.
1
@NothingEverHappens-Chud Yes, I do apologise I should have said some of them.
1
@texas How could be have said that 2000 years ago when the New Testament wasn't written 2000 years ago? It was written 400 or so years after that, so obviously it isn't true, there is no literature over those few hundred years to write it from, hence not true.
1
And the field marshals were not much better than novice chess players if you were to look at it that way. Some of the decision making was amateurish at best, costing thousands and thousands of lives but still sending in troops on top of the ones already sent before changing tactics.
1
@Tancosteel Fornication Britain saved Russia with the breaking of the enigma code more like.
