  1. Yes, the defence can easily prove him innocent. Very easily. But that doesnt matter. They could have irrefutable proof that he is the second coming of Jesus himself, it still wouldnt matter. When will people get that in so far that any evidence and presumption of innocence mattered anywhere, it certainly no longer does. There is technically nothing stopping the state/powers that be for charging anyone with any crime, even a purely fictional one, and finding them guilty without any evidence at all or even overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Thats because its humans who decide the verdict, and they are easily influenced or even predjudiced from the start. How are there so relatively many, provably innocents in prison if the justice system worked as it should. And those people havent got the entire state and all its arms, legacy media etc against them.
