  1. Sometimes the utilitarian objective need to take a back seat to just pure human rights (in a good sense) if you ask me. Property tax, i.e. not being able to own property outright is just that: An affront to human rights that should never be made. Of course even from an utilitarian perspective, it can be argued that taxes are just a "quick fix" that always leads to the downfall of society over a long enough period of time, and the ability to own property is what creates society in the first place. Otherwise, we are effectively nomads, just wandering around in a walled off guilded cage.
