  2. Depends on what you mean by "other SUV", its a big segment, to say the least.... As old luxury SUVs go, they are only matched somewhat by range rover. (Or Merc G wagon but thats a strange vehicle thts not really comparable). Normal Merc ML is much worse.

  3. You made the right choice. The Tourag of this generation is for those that NEED its capabilities compared to other cars. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

  4. Dont get why people need that large engines to tow..... are they doing 100mph towing 20 000lbs at 8000 ft elevation? As far as i can tell, its mostly that people dont want their car to feel slower than normal while towing.... not that it cant technically handle it...

Why would the VW leave you stranded from the trail but the Toyota wont? In general, cars leaving people stranded seems so uncommon that its not even worth mentioning. Unless you got some specifics?

  7.  @LibLibertyLibertarian  Well I was hoping to primarily get an answer from the one who made the statement I asked about, but ok. The things you mentioned, most of which I was aware of except for the climate glitch part, dont seem to me to likely be helped by taking it to a an auto-interior shop.

  8.  @klwarhouse  Depends on what you mean by "nicer". I mostly prefer the Touareg except that you cant get the same engine power as in the Porsche.

  9. You and your wallet should be scared. These cars are for those that know how to wrench AND dont mind hilarious expenses once in while. If you dont fulfill both, pray or stay away.
