  1. Yeah I cringed a bit when I heard that, it was immediately obvious it was a miscommunication. Carl is just being a bit sloppy with his language, as most people often are. Its pretty ironic that he even acknowledges the term "ufo" being another such instance where the people in general assumes it means "alien craft" when its by definition anything but, just like the term "aliens".

  3. I read an old book probably from the 70s-early 80s when I was a kid about exactly that concept. Dont remember its name though. The protagonist was one of the aliens, and it takes place a few years after they arrived and promptly got defeated because they were so dumb in comparison to humans. Pretty original concept, I would think.
