Where did you see that? Sure, the M cars of this generation has quite the speedo error, probably intentional, but that much? Seems to much error to me. I would say its at least 280-285 normally.

@AutofanTSI Just hard to believe that much of a speedo error from the factory, with standard size wheels. That is old school italian errors, or dare I say VW. My own 335d is much more accurate. My only conclusion is that a previous owner have calibrated the speedo wrongly.

DMD Sorry, byt that car is defective. BMW museum car or not, that is just not the right times, far from it. Those are 320-340 hp in an M3 times, depending on which gearbox it has. My 360-370 hp 335d does 12.3 seconds 100-200 and it has a lot of heavy equipment (such as an electric foldable tow hitch) the M3 does not have. It also has a normal torque converter automatic which is heavier to spin and costs some power, on top of shifting slower than the DCT. Maybe BMW was a bit optimistic with their stated 420 hp from factory, but for sure no one which left the factory was under 400 hp. The fact that the car you saw was broken in some way brings the speedo also into question... Edit: I saw someone else had made a smiliar reply earlier.
